Our purpose
XYZ Academic is an independent research-discovery and academic-profile platform. It helps users find public information about researchers, scholarly works, institutions and research topics through open metadata services.
How the platform works
We retrieve and organize public metadata from sources such as OpenAlex, Crossref, ORCID and ROR. Where a researcher claims a profile, submitted information is reviewed and marked separately from automatically imported metadata.
Accuracy and corrections
Academic records can contain incomplete affiliations, duplicate names or incorrectly matched publications. Researchers and institutions can submit correction requests through the profile-claim or contact pages.
Independence
XYZ Academic is not Google Scholar, Crossref, OpenAlex, ORCID or ROR, and is not endorsed by those services. Source names and identifiers remain the property of their respective organizations.
