Service description

XYZ Academic provides research-discovery tools and organized scholarly metadata. Records may come from third-party APIs, public sources and researcher submissions.

No guarantee of completeness

Profiles, citation counts, affiliations and publication matches may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate. Users should verify important information with the original publisher, institution, DOI registry or researcher.

Acceptable use

You must not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, submit false claims, impersonate researchers, harvest personal information, overload endpoints or use the platform unlawfully.

Profile claims and corrections

We may request evidence, reject claims, suspend profile control or reverse edits where identity, authorization or accuracy cannot be established.

Intellectual property

The XYZ Academic design, branding and original software are protected. Third-party metadata, trademarks, abstracts and linked content remain subject to their respective rights and licences.

External services

The platform may link to or rely on external APIs and websites. Their availability and terms are outside our control.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, XYZ Academic is not liable for decisions made solely from incomplete metadata, service interruptions, third-party content or unauthorized misuse.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the platform develops. The effective date will be revised when material changes are published.
